GMJF celebrates an evening of community
The Greater Miami Jewish Federation just hosted their biggest event of the year, The Main Event, for which our crew provided full-scale AV in the Americana Ballroom at the Loews South Beach.
Our set was highlighted by around-the-room video displays, including a center LED wall behind the stage and four 11’ x 20’ front projection screens along the white drape line. We rigged all our lighting and audio support which included several movers for added effect during the show. This required a full set-up day in advance and a crew of more than 20.
We used an Ascender switcher to allow for building pre-sets ahead of time for all the different looks, incorporating video playback, graphics and IMAG from three different camera shots. This also required a sub-switch from our Video Director and Video Engineer who both coordinated backstage to send the appropriate IMAG outputs.
It was a special night for Jacob Solomon, who recently announced his retirement after more than four decades serving as the President & CEO of GMJF. He delivered a very heartfelt address about his time with Federation that was met with a standing ovation from the entire audience.
All of us at Media Stage wish to congratulate him on his upcoming retirement! It has been such an honor to serve alongside him as valued partners and friends. Thank you to all at GMJF for continuing to trust us with these events!
