Charlotte goes global for med conference

Wheels up once again! Most recently our road adventures took us to Charlotte, NC for a medical conference attended by more than 1,000 people at the Sheraton Uptown. This show had a widespread reach as attendees represented 22 different countries and 40 U.S. states!

The meeting was broken down into several breakout rooms and one general session, all operating on a rotating schedule. To best manage the fluidity of agenda logistics and room assignments, we installed a teleconference system and network support to ensure clear communication and file transfers.

We built our General Session set starting with columns of dimensional scenic panels that we up-lit to make them pop off the black drape line. For display sources, we positioned a rear projection screen on each side of the stage and mirrored the content imagery on an interactive podium. This was used during the standard business meetings and again during an elegant awards gala.

One highlight of the run of show was a live performance from a local bluegrass band to fully immerse attendees in the southern hospitality of the Carolinas. Our video crew also supported the expo area by placing five 70” touch screen monitors around the floor for various demos and presentations.

This show called for jam-packed days with early calls and late nights, and much of our crew traveled straight to another show back in Florida. Stay tuned for details on that one, but for now – that’s a wrap from Charlotte!
