#Goals… Conference
For the first time since before the pandemic, the Greater Miami Chamber of Conference was able to meet in person! Two weeks ago, Media Stage provided the AV and staging in the Grand Symphony Ballroom at Hilton Miami Downtown for GMCC’s Goals Conference; you know how familiar we are with this venue!
This is an annual event, but members were unable to gather for it last year due to COVID-19. All the attendees were very excited to see each other again as they kicked off the conference bright and early in the morning. Committee members gave opening addresses laying out the agenda for the day, which focused on going over the Chamber’s ongoing and new incentives for the upcoming year.
There were many key sponsors present, including AvMed, Bank of America, FPL, FIU, Citizens Independent Transportation Trust, BDO USA, LLP, UHealth and South Florida Business Journal. The presenting sponsor, Fiserv, gave a fantastic presentation and also did a fun interactive “Wheel of Fortune” style giveaway. We projected their prize wheel onto both of our widescreens while our A-1 cued up theme music as the wheel spun and landed on an attendee’s name who became the lucky winner.
In addition to projection, audio and cameras for IMAG, our lighting team was also hard at work on this one. We lit the stage with a professional looking wash and changed the up-lighting on the drape throughout the show to match the branding colors of certain sponsors as they were featured. We also provided presidential-style teleprompting services for the speakers on stage, who all had ample time early in the morning to rehearse and work with our operator on cadence.
This show was yet another hybrid event to add to our 2021 portfolio; we had virtual VIP audience participation in addition to a remote keynote speaker. We took his live video feed into our switcher and projected his image onto both screens so the presenter on stage could interact with him.
