Media Stage at Art Basel
It’s Art Basel season in Miami and Media Stage was on the scene! Our crew just wrapped a multi-day production, “Talent X Opportunity,” at the 1 Hotel South Beach. The premise of the show was to give founders of new businesses the chance to pitch their companies “Shark Tank-“ style. Consistent with the buzz surrounding Art Basel, it was a unique opportunity for these businesses that are striving to create cultural innovations.
Our set featured an eye-catching 8’ x 10’ custom neon sign that was positioned in front of the ballroom’s Living Wall, offering the juxtaposition of both nature and technology (the overarching themes of the event). To enhance the bright neon color palate even more, we used grey drape as the backdrop to make the pink ambience lighting really pop in the room.
The space was relatively small with no rigging options available, so we used our 90-degree ultra-short throw rear projectors to take up as little room as possible. Our 8-person crew had a full set day the day prior to get everything loaded in and tech-checked to be ready for show day.
This was also a hybrid event; in addition to the attendees in the room, our video and web streaming operators also displayed and sent out a two-way feed to include a virtual audience as well. A great all-around effort by the entire team… that’s a wrap!
