Set sail with Jimmy Buffett and Media Stage!

Not a bad office view for a few days… Media Stage hit the open waters with veteran event producer Marianne Schmidhofer (“What’s Your Purpose Events”) for the christening ceremony and inaugural voyage of Margaritaville at Sea Paradise!

Once on board, our crew was responsible for producing and directing the ship’s renaming ceremony in the “Stars on the Water” theater. We livestreamed this feed into the Euphoria Lounge where we brought in several 86” LCD monitors to encourage viewing from additional guests around the ship.

We also livestreamed the ceremonial bottle breaking once the name of the ship was officially announced. Following these events, guests were encouraged to move to the pool deck for a surprise intimate performance by none other than Jimmy Buffett!

Media Stage provided full sound and mixing for this performance in addition to backline support; its live feed was also streamed out to attendees who were at other locations on the ship. As an added bonus, Mac McAnally also made an appearance as lead guitarist for the set.

We loaded onto the ship the day prior to all the show events and coordinated closely with the Port of Palm Beach to ensure our gear all made it on the ship safely and efficiently. There were definitely some additional planning elements to sort out compared to a typical loading dock install.
