The Main Event from Miami Beach

That’s a wrap from the Loews Hotel Miami Beach! In partnership with our friends at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, our crew produced the entire AV complement in the Americana Ballroom for their biggest gala of the year, The Main Event.

We work with Federation on this event annually, and this year we had an additional day to load in and set up to be ready for a full afternoon and evening of rehearsals the following day. Our scenic techs installed a clean wall-to-wall line of white drape to counterbalance five different video display screens. A center LED wall was built behind the main stage and we had two additional projection screens on each side so content was visible all around the room that hosted 1,700 attendees.

The lighting looks were all very eye-catching as the event theme incorporated some pinks in addition to the usual blue and white color scheme. We flew movers and stage wash along with our line array speaker stacks and full-bodied PA system to support performance mics, lavs and a lectern mic.

We had a manned teleprompting system for presenters including presidential glass panels. In addition to presentations and video content, the run of show was highlighted by some very moving performances and appearances.

Cultural icons among the Israeli community Matisyahu, Eden Golan and Montana Tucker all performed musical renditions throughout the show. Some of the survivors of the October 7, 2023 attack at the Nova Music Festival in Israel were also brought on the stage to deliver a very impactful message of resilience.
