Women’s philanthropy on display at Lion of Judah

That’s a wrap from Jungle Island! Yesterday we were proud to be on site once again with Greater Miami Jewish Federation for their Lion of Judah Luncheon in the Bloom Ballroom. For two days between set and show/strike, our crew produced the AV complement in the ballroom that hosted more than 600 esteemed women philanthropists of GMJF.

The stage was positioned in front of a wall-to-wall line of white drape that we hit with blue and teal up-lighting along with gobos of the event’s lion logo. Our two screens were positioned flush along the top of the drape line as we front projected from truss towers placed at the back of the room.

Audio was both ground-supported and flown, and we also provided backline for a live band performance that kicked off the show. The Distant Cousins sang both the American and Israeli national anthems followed by a special rendition of a song they wrote about unity during the pandemic lockdowns.

We flew our fixtures for stage wash from one main rig in front of the stage and also provided backlighting for camera shots. We enlisted two manned cameras and a PTZ for IMAG shots and program records. We used the newest lighting board that we have in our inventory, the grandMA3, to pre-set many of our show looks.

Greater Miami Jewish Federation has been a client of Media Stage for more than three full decades; we are always grateful for the continued trust and partnership!
