Larry Blocker and Michael Alers take on new roles at Media Stage

Wilson Alers, President & CEO of Media Stage, is very excited to announce the recent promotions of two key staff members. Larry Blocker has been promoted from Vice President & General Manager to Chief Operating Officer and Michael Alers has been promoted from Project Manager & Lead Video Engineer to Chief Technology Officer. Their vast experience from their previous roles, especially when faced with the new industry challenges over the last couple years, has truly elevated Media Stage to a new level.

Larry joined the company in 2018 following 10 years at the Miami Marlins as Senior Director of Game Presentation and Events. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at the Miami Heat as Director of Game Presentation and Events. His production experience in the sports world helped curate his management skills in addition to making him a forward-thinking technical director on show site who is always one step ahead!

In his new role as COO, Larry will be responsible for all aspects of the business including: sales, marketing, operations, social media, finance and many others.


Michael Alers, CTO

Michael Alers, CTO

Michael has been with Media Stage for more than two decades (26 ½ years to be exact)! Not only does he serve as our lead video engineer both in our studio and on show site, he is also an extremely proactive and detail-oriented project manager. His main specialties are projection and wide-screen switching and he always brings a ton of energy to backstage and FOH.

As CTO, Michael’s duties will be overseeing shows and keeping the pulse on all the latest technology in the market to ensure Media Stage is on the cutting edge for our clients.
